Focused on higher education and K-12 projects, Alison is an experienced project manager who believes the built environment has the power to support and transform the educational experience. She has spent her career dedicated to enhancing, improving, and creating learning spaces.
Prior to joining BGK in 2022, Alison worked for over 16 years with Perkins+Will and SHW Group (now Stantec) on campuses throughout Texas. Her recent work includes Austin Community College’s Highland Campus--a transformation of an abandoned shopping mall into a multi-disciplinary campus with specialty labs and collaborative learning spaces--and Austin ISD’s Eastside Early College High School and International High School— a new campus which highlights the history of the site and community. Through all her projects, she focuses on a holistic approach to designing and detailing buildings which are high performing, sustainable, and responsive to client and user needs. Her thoroughness, focus on communication, and attention to stakeholder and community engagement in all phases of a project help ensure a successful, high-quality result.
Alison volunteers with local schools and universities and works on advocacy for maternal health and early childhood initiatives. She loves to travel and explore new places with her husband, 2 children, and rescue dog, Mardi.
