Tower Renovation

For nearly a century, the University of Texas Tower has stood as the defining icon of The University of Texas at Austin and as one of the most recognizable landmarks in the state. Completed in 1937 and the centerpiece of the Main Building, the Tower has long served as a symbol of academic achievement, institutional pride, and the university's enduring commitment to excellence. Following approval from the UT System Board of Regents, the multiyear effort to restore, revitalize and reimagine the historic Tower began in November 2024 and is estimated to last through summer of 2027.
