As the first building on The University of Texas at Tyler’s 46-acre Palestine campus, Mathis Hall established the design precedent envisioned in our master plan. Through a combination of materials, colors and massing, the building combined elements of UT Tyler, the City of Palestine, and the natural context to create a distinct campus identity.
Mathis Hall accommodates programs in nursing, health, business, and interdisciplinary studies also and also incorporates sustainable design features that are appropriate to its beautiful, heavily-wooded northeast Texas site.
