The Academic Sciences Building showcases TTU’s commitment to STEM, cutting-edge research, and interdisciplinary collaboration—brought to life through the design partnership of BGK Architects and EYP (now Page).

This 130,000-sf facility anchors the historic campus, uniting five departments—Biology, Chemistry, Geosciences, Physics, and Psychology—under one roof. From advanced research labs to lecture halls and collaborative spaces, every detail was designed to inspire discovery. Blending tradition with progress, the building features Spanish Renaissance architecture, a hand-carved atomic medallion, and a symbolic IGOR telescope marking the centennial of Texas Tech.
“This will be a place of collaboration and innovation... bridging all Texas Tech has accomplished over the past 100 years and everything that is still possible.”
– Mark Griffin
Proud to have collaborated on a space that empowers the next generation of researchers and thinkers.
