Learning from the work. Growing through the experience.

BGK Team Austin Texas Central Health Hancock Healthcare Center Tour

Our team recently toured Central Health’s Hancock Headquarters & Multi-Service Clinic project to see firsthand how this transformative adaptive reuse project, is coming together and to learn from the design and construction decisions that are shaping its success.

The redevelopment of the former Sears building into a community-focused healthcare campus will expand access to critical services, including primary care, specialty care, dental services, pharmacy, diagnostics, and administrative functions. As one of the largest adaptive reuse healthcare projects in the region, the project offers valuable lessons in planning, collaboration, phasing, and delivering complex facilities within an existing structure.

These project tours are an important part of our culture of continuous learning. Seeing projects in person allows our teams to better understand how design decisions perform in the real world, hear lessons learned from project partners, and identify opportunities to apply those insights to future work. It's one thing to review drawings and specifications; it's another to walk the space and experience how those decisions come together to serve the community.

We're grateful to Central Health and our project partners for the opportunity to learn from this impactful project and excited to see the positive difference it will make for the communities it serves.
